Starship Troopers and Mousin’ Around Pinball machines

For over a month, Deep 6 has found the wind blowing west. Beverly Hills Los Angelas to be more specific. With work in California, we made a post on Facebook Market Place listing repair or consultation services available.

To date we have 47 requests for service. Many of which have been small things. Replacing rubbers, stripping and cleaning playfields. But, some have been more interesting.

Starship Troopers and Mousin’ Around Pinball machines were recently purchased by someone in Santa Monica, CA 90291. Both machines were sitting for about ten years and needed to be gone through, checeked, cleaned and rebuilt.

Starship Troopers known issue: when multi ball starts, the balls just collect in the shooter lane & never launch.. (There should be an auto launch feature as in most SEGA pinball machines)

Suspected issues:
-Burnt Coil (If so, probably a dead mosfet on the driver board that held the voltage on too long.)
-Broken wire to the coil
-Blown fuse
-Shorted wire
-Misaligned SEGA Pinball shooter assembly or linkage issue

SOLVED: Broken linkage for the shooter assembly

One other game, minimal information was given. Just, needs repair and request to value it. Was a 1961 Gottlieb Lancers pinball machine.

Supper Shuffle Ally Bowler

Someone in Rancho Cucamonga, CA 91703

1951 Supper Shuffle Ally Bowler game in need of a tune up.

Problem: Intermittently when you played a game with three players or more. All scores would be in the first player score reels.

Suspected Issues:
-Dirty switch.
-Sticky relay reset mechanism
-Broken wire just making contact & game vibration is causing it pop on and off.

Being that the issue is not consistently a problem, I suspect it’s just something being dirty versus broken.
